Representative Matters

  • Assist clients in designing estate plans, including wills, trusts, beneficiary designations, powers of attorney, and pre- and post-nuptial agreements.
  • Assist individuals and families with implementing estate planning strategies that combine personal and familial goals and tax savings.
  • Advise personal representatives, trustees, heirs, and beneficiaries in estate, trust, and probate administration.
  • Prosecute and defend appeals in probate and trust administration cases.
  • Work collaboratively with individuals and couples to design estate plans that minimize anticipated future intra- and interfamily conflict.
  • Coordinate probate and trust administration matters, both routine and contested, that involve proceedings in multiple states.
  • Advise and represent personal representatives, trustees, and beneficiaries in estate, trust, and probate controversies and litigation.
  • Advise business owners on corporate, limited liability company, and partnership planning, and prepares shareholder, operating, partnership, and buy-sell agreements.
  • Assist clients on business and real estate transactions, and provide representation in disputes and litigation.
  • Advise families on all aspects of estate and wealth transfer planning.
  • Advise families on family business succession matters, including buy/sell agreements, the use of life insurance, and tax-minimization.
  • Work with families to implement estate plans involving family members with special needs and other unique challenges.
  • Help families implement plans that include planned charitable giving techniques, including private family foundations, discounting, and value-freezing.
