J.P. Stouffer

J.P. StoufferJames P.  (J.P.) Stouffer is Managing Partner of our firm, and practices in our Denver office. He joined the firm in 1992. His areas of concentration are estate planning and administration, business planning, and real estate.

In real estate, J.P. counsels clients on both residential and commercial purchases and sales, including title work. This is often done in conjunction with his estate planning and administration practice, which frequently involves creation and sale of entities, distributions of assets and other related undertakings. His clientele consists of entrepreneurs, farmers and ranchers, executives, retirees and young families. J.P.’s approach to estate planning is to emphasize listening and thoroughly understanding the client’s needs and objectives, then provide them with the information and strategies they need to reach those goals.

After law school, J.P. clerked for one year with Judge Robert Foley of the Oregon Court of Appeals, and then practiced for three years with a large law firm in Portland. In 1973, he moved to Colorado and has practiced law in the Denver area ever since.
